Decoration Builds
Furniture, gardens, pathways, lighting, and interior design ideas.
Hand-built custom trees that look far more natural than default Minecraft trees. Features curved trunks, root systems, and full canopies with vines.
A beautiful fenced flower garden with mixed flower beds, winding dirt paths, flower pots on fence posts, and lantern lighting for nighttime beauty.
A collection of furniture designs including chairs (stairs + signs), tables (fence + pressure plate), shelves (trapdoors), TVs (paintings), and couches (stairs + slabs).
A landscaped public park with winding paths, custom trees, benches, flower beds, a fountain, and lantern-lit walkways. Fits server spawn areas or towns.
A simple suspension-style bridge connecting two elevated points. Uses fence posts as side rails and slabs for the walkway with a slight droop in the middle for realism.
An elegant multi-tier stone brick fountain with flowing water cascading down each level. Sea lanterns underneath the water create a beautiful glow at night.
Flowers on demand
Bone meal on a grass block sprouts grass and flowers on the grass around it, across a 15×15×15 area in Java. Which flowers come up depends on the biome and even the position, so a garden in a flower forest grows other colors than one in plains.
Tall flowers never come from grass. Use bone meal on a rose bush, sunflower, lilac or peony and it drops a copy without breaking the plant, which is the only way to get more of them.
- Flower pots
- A flower pot holds one-block flowers, saplings, ferns, cacti, bamboo, mushrooms and more. In Java it can sit on any block, a fence post included; in Bedrock it needs a full top face, a fence, a wall or a hopper underneath.
- Carpet
- Fits on top of fences and walls. You can still jump onto it while mobs will not try to cross, and carpet lets light through, so a light block under a carpet lights the room without showing.
- Bees
- Bee nests and beehives arrived in 1.15. With a campfire within five blocks you can fill a glass bottle with honey without angering the bees, which earns Bee Our Guest. A nest broken without Silk Touch drops nothing and the bees come out angry; moving one with three bees inside by Silk Touch earns Total Beelocation.
The flower garden is a quick first build at 12 by 3 by 12 blocks, and the public park spreads the same ideas over 30 by 30.
Water for fountains and ponds
A water source spreads 7 blocks sideways on flat ground and falls as far down as it can, moving 4 blocks per second. Flowing water breaks and carries off plants other than trees, torches, carpet, snow and redstone dust, so put flowers and lights where the flow cannot reach them and pour the water in last, as the stone brick fountain does. Its sea lanterns give light level 15, the brightest a block can be.
Trees that look hand-made
Leaves you place yourself never decay, so a custom canopy can reach far from any log. Natural leaves are different: in Java they disappear once they are more than 6 blocks from a log (4 in Bedrock), so cutting logs out of a real tree can make part of its crown vanish.
Leaves broken without shears or Silk Touch drop a sapling 5% of the time, 2.5% for jungle leaves, and vines only drop when you cut them with shears. The custom trees build hangs 128 oak leaves around 48 oak logs.
Furniture and the rope bridge
- Trapdoors
- A trapdoor placed on the top half of a block opens downward, and one on the bottom half opens upward, so decide which way a shelf or shutter should swing before you place it.
- Armor stands
- Can face 8 directions. In Java they only show arms when ShowArms is set with a command; in Bedrock they have arms from the start.
- Item frames
- Right-click to turn the item in 45 degree steps, 8 positions in all, or 4 for a map.
- Leads
- A lead only knots onto a fence post with a mob on the other end, and the mob then stays within about 5 blocks of the post. The rope bridge gets its rope look from fences and slabs.
The interior furniture set puts these together: stair chairs, trapdoor shelves, fence tables and paintings on the wall.
